Miguel disembarks in Lisbon, proceeding from Britain on board the Portuguese frigate, A Pérola He swears loyalty to Maria and the Constitutional Charter and takes on the regency of kingdom
Reports of the disembarkation came in no. 47 of the Lisbon Gazette, 23 February 1828, Thursday edition:

His Royal Highness Prince Miguel is now thankfully already back amongst the Portuguese. On 22 February 1828 will be the day of Glorio dos Fastos Luzitanos. Faltou traduzir At two o’clock in the afternoon, began the Salutes from the Towers and the Castle of S. Jorge announcing the happy arrival of His Highness in the mouth of the Tagus and it was around four and a half hours in the afternoon when His Highness Disembarked in Belém before Proceeding to the Palace of Ajuda in the Company of his August Sisters and, in the midst of innumerable salutes and as many expressions of jubilation as the Portuguese were able to make may  to pay tribute to such an happy event.
