Pedro IV nominates Miguel his acting representative and regent of the kingdom of Portugal whilst his daughter remains a minor
The publication of the Decree nominating Miguel as the regent of Pedro IV was included in no. 240 of the Lisbon Gazette, 10 October 1827, Wednesday edition:

OFFICIAL SECTION.

By the ship Camões, that entered the port of Lisbon, on the 8th of this same month, her Excellency the Princess Regent did receive a Letter from her August brother PEDRO IV, in which His Majesty did convey to Her Royal Highness a copy of the Decree, which did nominate His Excellency Prince Miguel as His Acting Representative in the Regency of these Kingdoms as transcribed below:…
