Pedro signs into effect a Constitutional Charter for the Portuguese monarchy
The transcription of the Constitutional Charter for the Portuguese monarchy, decreed and given by the King of Portugal and the Algarves King Pedro, Emperor of Brazil on 29 April 1826, is made in various numbers of the Lisbon Gazette between 15 July and 26 July 1826,  beginning in no. 164 of the Lisbon Gazette, 15 July 1826, Saturday edition:

CONSTITUTIONAL CHARTER OF THE PORTUGUESE MONARCHY DECREED, AND GIVEN BY THE KING OF PORTUGAL AND THE ALGARVES PEDRO, EMPEROR OF BRAZIL ON 29 APRIL 1826.

PEDRO, BY THE GRACE OF GOD, King of Portugal, of the Algarves, etcetera. I make it Known to all of My Portuguese Subjects, that I do Decree, Give and Order the immediate Swearing into Effect by the Three Orders of the State of the Constitutional Charter transcribed below, which shall henceforth rule these My Kingdoms and Domains and that doth contain the following matters…
