The Vilafrancada coup d’état.
Under the leadership of Prince Miguel and Queen Carlota Joaquina, the army came out against the Constitution. Miguel set off for Vila Franca with the regiments loyal to his cause.

Despite the paternal exhortations of our beloved Constitutional Monarch, the deluded Prince Miguel persists in his unconsidered project and proceeds with hi advance under the yoke of hallucinated.
