Signing of the Treaty of Fontainebleau
Spain and France plot the joint division of Portugal. This split would consist of dividing Portugal into the kingdom of Lusitânia Setentrional, Entre-Douro-e-Minho, handed over to the Queen of Etrúria and the kingdom of the Algarves, encharged to Manuel Godoy, the Prince of Peace, Minister to Carlos IV.
